Fish for Health Project in the Seafood Show Latin America
Between the 17th and 19th of October 2022, the first contact was made with the fish production chain, aiming to publicize the NPOP - Fish for Health, during the Seafood Show Latin America event.
The Center participated in the event as an exhibitor at the APTA – Instituto de Pesca stand on innovation projects funded by FAPESP.
Visitors were presented with the DNA and main objectives of the project, information materials were shared and contacts of potential partners were collected.
To carry out the first stage, a market study was carried out on the main fish products consumed in the State of São Paulo, according to geographic location and income level, including large cities, rural areas and coastal communities.
A presentation of the general idea of the project was made to several people and institutions present, which included Fishing Owners, Restaurants and Chefs, Producers, Industrialists, Exporters, Importers, Consumers, Veterinarians and Researchers/Teachers.
More than 31 contacts were collected in the form of a card, email, telephone number for submitting a form and project newsletter, to help publicize and reach the project.
The next step will be to hold meetings to plan the next steps.
