Fish for Health Research Nucleus participated in the 14th edition of Aquishow Brasil at the Advanced Center for Research and Development of Continental Fish at the Fisheries Institute in São José do Rio Preto – SP.

The event took place from May 21 to 23 and the project presented about its activities to improve the nutrient content and the potential value for human health of tilapia and shrimp farmed through fortification with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids ( EPA and DHA), fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D and E) and essential trace elements (iodine, selenium, chromium), in addition to increasing the nutritional quality and profitability of tilapia production in the State using genetic markers and genome studies during the visit guided tour at the Fisheries Institute facilities.
